Zoo Trip

There is a photo category at the Utah State Fair that I always make fun of called the wild life in captivity category. But today I am eating my own words a little bit because I am onsidering entering an image I shot while at Hogle Zoo on Friday. I picture I took is of two bears fighting. I don't think I have ever seen the bears do anything other that sit there if not hiding somewhere so you can't see them.
Melissa and I had a fun time at the zoo. We both were able to have fun taking pictures and just seeing the animals. Here are some of the better shots of the day. Also included camera control settings in case anyone is interested in those.
Let me know if you think the first one of the bears in contest worthy.

f/5.6 1/250 iso 400

f/4.5 1/320 iso 400

f/5.6 1/80 iso 500

f/16 1/80 iso 400

I love the pictures. The bear one is really cool... I haven't seen the bears out doing anything for years (and I have a Zoo pass)

*How do you know what iso to set your camera at?

Generally you want to set it as low as you can. The lower the better quality. You may need to turn it up though in darker conditions or if you require very fast shutter speeds of small apertures. I might be able to help you a little more if I had more info.
What camera are you using and do you use the manual settings or the automatic ones?
